How To Be A Flower

Once upon a springtime,
in a meadow by a stream,
a seedling wriggled and jiggled,
from a long dozy dream.
She stretched up tall,
in the warm sunlight,
nodding her head
to the sky, so bright.
Her leaves popped out,
one, two, three,
and finally, she was ready,
so, she opened her eyes to see . . .
A flower was born.
“What a beautiful day to be a flower!” said Minnie to the Sun.
And she fluttered her petals in the warm summer breeze.
“And what a beautiful day to be a sunbeam!” smiled the Sun.
And she rose high and danced her way across the sky.
Note: This artwork was done in a Make Art That Sells Class, in order to build my portfolio. I worked from the text prompts provided by the tutor Zoe Tucker and that this is an example of the work I produced.
